Harry Potter and other things that are of Satan!

There are so many children that are being deceived by Satan with Harry Potter and other things of the Devil.
So my prayer request is that we pray that all people that watch, read, and play with things of Satan will have opened eyes and God will keep working in all our hearts because we all need His help to stop Satan from trying to take God’s children captive.
Deuteronomy 18:9-12 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

- What do those names mean?
- I looked those names up in dictionaries just as I have learnt to look up and be blessed by the meaning of so many names in the Holy Scriptures.
- What did I find?
- “Harry” means “harold” as in “messenger.”
- And “Potter?”
- Well, What does the bible teach us about who the potter is? How about Isaiah 64:8? And what other texts do you find in your Strong’s Concordance or in your e-Sword.net free bible software that may help you know God, and “the potter,” better?

- How about the rest of the book’s title ” - and the Sourcerer’s Stone?”
- Well, Who is the Source of all sources? Who is the One who creates for us all sources of value?… BTW, did you know that in the Hebrew language the word for “stone” is built from two parts, the first part being “ab,” as in “Abba - Father,” and the second is “ben” meaning “Son.” Thus the word ’stone’ consists of Father and Son being hard pressed together. And what do we learn through the pen of Ellen Gould White if not the words: “Press together, Brethren, press together!

- Yes, and the Harry Potter books are full of constructions like those! But it takes time and thought to discover those hidden treasures. And if we just skip over the surface and read only the superficial story we are not unlikely to come away with learning the wrong lessons, i.e. witch craft and such like - not good!
- Hmmm…
- Yah, and doesn’t the Bible teach us to “Remember… to keep it holy… cleansed!?” How are we reading our very own Bibles? Are we skipping only across the surface Bible stories such that we come away with the wrong lessons there too?
