Pray for Golden Oil

“God calls not only for our gifts for the needy, but for our cheerful countenance, our hopeful words, our kindly handclasp. When Christ healed the sick, He laid His hands upon them. So should we come in close touch with those whom we seek to benefit. There are many from whom hope has departed. Bring back the sunshine to them. Many have lost their courage. Speak to them words of cheer. Pray for them. There are those who need the bread of life. Read to them from the word of God. Upon many is a soul sickness which no earthly balm can reach nor physician heal. Pray for these souls, bring them to Jesus. Tell them that there is a balm in Gilead and a Physician there. Light is a blessing, a universal blessing, pouring forth its treasures on a world unthankful, unholy, demoralized. So it is with the light of the Sun of Righteousness. The whole earth, wrapped as it is in the darkness of sin, and sorrow, and pain, is to be lighted with the knowledge of God’s love. From no sect, rank, or class of people is the light shining from heaven’s throne to be excluded. The message of hope and mercy is to be carried to the ends of the earth. Whosoever will, may reach forth and take hold of God’s strength and make peace with Him, and he shall make peace. No longer are the heathen to be wrapped in midnight darkness. The gloom is to disappear before the bright beams of the Sun of Righteousness. The power of hell has been overcome. But no man can impart that which he himself has not received. In the work of God, humanity can originate nothing. No man can by his own effort make himself a light bearer for God.

It was the golden oil emptied by the heavenly messengers into the golden tubes, to be conducted from the golden bowl into the lamps of the sanctuary, that produced a continuous bright and shining light. It is the love of God continually transferred to man that enables him to impart light. Into the hearts of all who are united to God by faith the golden oil of love flows freely, to shine out again in good works, in real, heartfelt service for God. “In the great and measureless gift of the Holy Spirit are contained all of heaven’s resources. It is not because of any restriction on the part of God that the riches of His grace do not flow earthward to men. If all were willing to receive, all would become filled with His Spirit. It is the privilege of every soul to be a living channel through which God can communicate to the world the treasures of His grace, the unsearchable riches of Christ. There is nothing that Christ desires so much as agents who will represent to the world His Spirit and character. There is nothing that the world needs so much as the manifestation through humanity of the Saviour’s love. All heaven is waiting for channels through which can be poured the holy oil to be a joy and blessing to human hearts.“Christ has made every provision that His church shall be a transformed body, illumined with the Light of the world, possessing the glory of Emmanuel. It is His purpose that every Christian shall be surrounded with a spiritual atmosphere of light and peace. He desires that we shall reveal His own joy in our lives. The indwelling of the Spirit will be shown by the outflowing of heavenly love. The divine fullness will flow through the consecrated human agent, to be given forth to others. The Sun of Righteousness has “healing in His wings.” Mal. 4:2. So from every true disciple is to be diffused an influence for life, courage, helpfulness, and true healing. The religion of Christ means more than the forgiveness of sin; it means taking away our sins, and filling the vacuum with the graces of the Holy Spirit. It means divine illumination, rejoicing in God. It means a heart emptied of self, and blessed with the abiding presence of Christ. When Christ reigns in the soul, there is purity, freedom from sin. The glory, the fullness, the completeness of the gospel plan is fulfilled in the life. The acceptance of the Saviour brings a glow of perfect peace, perfect love, perfect assurance.

The beauty and fragrance of the character of Christ revealed in the life testifies that God has indeed sent His Son into the world to be its Saviour. Christ does not bid His followers strive to shine. He says, Let your light shine. If you have received the grace of God, the light is in you. Remove the obstructions, and the Lord’s glory will be revealed. The light will shine forth to penetrate and dispel the darkness. You cannot help shining within the range of your influence. The revelation of His own glory in the form of humanity will bring heaven so near to men that the beauty adorning the inner temple will be seen in every soul in whom the Saviour dwells. Men will be captivated by the glory of an abiding Christ. And in currents of praise and thanksgiving from the many souls thus won to God, glory will flow back to the great Giver. “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” Isa. 60:1. To those who go out to meet the Bridegroom is this message given. Christ is coming with power and great glory. He is coming with His own glory and with the glory of the Father. He is coming with all the holy angels with Him. While all the world is plunged in darkness, there will be light in every dwelling of the saints. They will catch the first light of His second appearing. The unsullied light will shine from His splendor, and Christ the Redeemer will be admired by all who have served Him. While the wicked flee from His presence, Christ’s followers will rejoice. The patriarch Job, looking down to the time of Christ’s second advent, said, “Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not a stranger.” Job 19:27, margin. To His faithful followers Christ has been a daily companion and familiar friend. They have lived in close contact, in constant communion with God. Upon them the glory of the Lord has risen. In them the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ has been reflected. Now they rejoice in the undimmed rays of the brightness and glory of the King in His majesty. They are prepared for the communion of heaven; for they have heaven in their hearts. With uplifted heads, with the bright beams of the Sun of Righteousness shining upon them, with rejoicing that their redemption draweth nigh, they go forth to meet the Bridegroom, saying, “Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us.” Isa. 25:9.“And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia; for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready. . . . Are we alone?

Are there other christian churches joing the efforts of the Advetntist church during Operation Global rain? Is it just for us? Can we invite others to participate?

Fixarea datei 7-7-07 nu are nici un fel de semnificaţie profetică. În încercarea noastră de a alege o dată de început şi una de sfârşit, ne-am gândit că această dată, fiind în acelaş timp şi un Sabat, ar putea fi o minunată culminare a evenimentului global. Repetăm, nu există nici o semnificaţie profetică în această dată.
Oare nu este aceasta o fixare nepermisă de dată?
Nu mai mult decât fixarea unei date pentru adunarea de tabără (camp meeting). Precizăm din nou că nu există nici o semnificaţie profetică în această dată (6-27-07 to 7-07-07), şi nici nu s-a fixat vreo dată pentru revărsarea Spiritului.
Şi dacă nu se va întâmpla nimic? Nu s-a pus oare temelia pentru o altă mare dezamăgire?
Din nou trebuie să spunem că noi n-am fixat nici o dată pentru revărsarea Spiritului şi nici nu spunem că ceva TREBUIE să se întâmple în timpul acestui eveniment. Se poate că noi, ca biserică, să nu fim gata pentru revărsarea Spiritului. Vă aduceţi însă aminte că cei patru leproşi, prinşi între o sâncă şi un loc tare, au zis: “La ce să şedem aici până vom muri?” (vezi 2 Împăraţi 7:3-4). Deci, în loc să rămânem unde suntem, de ce să nu ne umilim şi să vedem ce A PUTUT Domnul să facă pentru noi? Dacă suntem deja gata, în stare să ne suim şi să luăm în posesie ţara, de ce mai zăbovim aici, îngrijorându-ne de ceea ce ne-ar putea face “uriaşii” (dezamăgirea etc.) cărora noi le vom putea face faţă prin puterea lui Dumnezeu?
Ellen White a spus: “Nu este necesar să ne îngrijorăm cu privire la Ploaia Târzie. Tot ceea ce noi trebuie să facem este să ne păstrăm vasul curat, şi într-o poziţie corectă, pregătiţi pentru primirea ploii cereşti şi să continuăm să ne rugăm: “Lasă Ploaia Târzie să vină în vasul meu. Lasă lumina gloriosului înger, care se uneşte cu cel de al treilea înger, să lumineze asupra mea; acordă-mi o parte în lucrarea Ta; permite-mi să vestesc proclamaţia; lasă-mă să fiu un conlucrător cu Isus Hristos.” Căutând pe Dumnezeu în felul acesta, El vă va pregăti, dându-vă harul Său.

Răspunsul poate veni în mod brusc şi cu putere copleşioare, sau poate întârzia zile şi săptămâni, şi atunci credinţa noastră trece printr-o încercare. Dumnezeu cunoaşte desigur mai bine cum şi când să răspundă la rugăciunile noastre. Partea noastră este de a lucra să ne amplasăm într-o bună conecţie cu canalul divin. Dumnezeu este responsabil pentru partea Sa de lucru. Desigur că El este credincios în ceea ce privişte împlinirea făgăduinţelor Sale. Este Biserica cu adevărat gata pentru acest eveniment?
Noi nu ştim. Bisericii îi revine sarcina să decidă, prin acţiunile şi răspunsul nostru, care este răspunsul ei la această întrebare.
Ploaia Târzie nu poate cădea fără ca să fie primită mai întâi Ploaia Timpurie.

Most Profitable Revival Meetings

While driving through Nashville, TN, I spotted a billboard advertising “The Call”, which is convocation to take place at the stadium built for the Titans NFL team. It is to take place on July 7, 2007. I did some research and found this website: http://www.thecall.com/vision.php

When I mentioned this to a friend of mine, he told me that he had been watching Pentacostal programming on SkyAngel and had heard preachers telling people to pray for the Seventh-day Adventist churches that they will receive the Holy Spirit just as they have received it. That brought the following passages to mind:

     “But many of the revivals of modern times have presented a marked contrast to those manifestations of divine grace which in earlier days followed the labors of God’s servants. It is true that a widespread interest is kindled, many profess conversion, and there are large accessions to the churches; nevertheless the results are not such as to warrant the belief that there has been a corresponding increase of real spiritual life. The light which flames up for a time soon dies out, leaving the darkness more dense than before.
     “Popular revivals are too often carried by appeals to the imagination, by exciting the emotions, by gratifying the love for what is new and startling. Converts thus gained have little desire to listen to Bible truth, little interest in the testimony of prophets and apostles. Unless a religious service has something of a sensational character, it has no attractions for them. A message which appeals to unimpassioned reason awakens no response. The plain warnings of God’s word, relating directly to their eternal interests, are unheeded….
     “Notwithstanding the widespread declension of faith and piety, there are true followers of Christ in these churches. Before the final visitation of God’s judgments upon the earth there will be among the people of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The Spirit and power of God will be poured out upon His children. At that time many will separate themselves from those churches in which the love of this world has supplanted love for God and His word. Many, both of ministers and people, will gladly accept those great truths which God has caused to be proclaimed at this time to prepare a people for the Lord’s second coming. The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work; and before the time for such a movement shall come, he will endeavor to prevent it by introducing a counterfeit. In those churches which he can bring under his deceptive power he will make it appear that God’s special blessing is poured out; there will be manifest what is thought to be great religious interest. Multitudes will exult that God is working marvelously for them, when the work is that of another spirit. Under a religious guise, Satan will seek to extend his influence over the Christian world.”     Great Controversy, pp. 463, 464.

“Some of these persons have exercises which they call gifts and say that the Lord has placed them in the church. They have an unmeaning gibberish which they call the unknown tongue, which is unknown not only by man but by the Lord and all heaven. Such gifts are manufactured by men and women, aided by the great deceiver. Fanaticism, false excitement, false talking in tongues, and noisy exercises have been considered gifts which God has placed in the church. Some have been deceived here. The fruits of all this have not been good. ‘Ye shall know them by their fruits.’ Fanaticism and noise have been considered special evidences of faith. Some are not satisfied with a meeting unless they have a powerful and happy time. They work for this and get up an excitement of feeling. But the influence of such meetings is not beneficial. When the happy flight of feeling is gone, they sink lower than before the meeting because their happiness did not come from the right source. The most profitable meetings for spiritual advancement are those which are characterized with solemnity and deep searching of heart; each seeking to know himself, and earnestly, and in deep humility, seeking to learn of Christ.“ Vol. 1, Testimonies for the Church, p. 412.

We need to watch and pray. We need to be certain that it is a true sanctification we are submitting to, a Biblical sanctification, or we will be subject to the deception Satan is preparing to unlease just before the true outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the power of the Latter Rain.

In heaven, will we follow God’s calendar? - Or that of the Pope?

I have a prayer:

My prayer is that I will be ever more in tune with the harmonics created by God throughout the universe. Throughout all of God’s creation I see harmony. Nature is like an orchestra of unfathomable proportions. Everything in nature is singing in tune with the music ordained by the Creator . The only ones with discordant voices seem to be those of mankind. In nature we are familiar with biological and seasonal cycles of many kinds that unceasingly follow the calendars of the Creator.

A fateful day in ancient history:

Until the end of king Solomon God’s People were following the reckoning of time instituted by God from the beginning of time, and more particularly as reckoned by that which was created on the Fourth Day of the creation week. Then there was a change. The new king of Israel was jealously fearful that his people would turn away from him and return to the king of Judah. Because of that this new king arranged to change the calendar such that his people would no longer be reminded of the three annual Feasts ordained by God and upon which God’s People were to go up to Jerusalem for to worship together. The story is found in 1 Kings 12. KJV states that the king made two golden calves. The corresponding Hebrew words, however, may well be in reference to two different calendars - rather than to two calves.

As a consequence of this action of king Jeroboam, son of Nebat, we have lost track of what exact year we are living in relative to the beginning of the creation. And, notice, Jeroboam, son of Nebat, throughout the recorded history of the kings of Judah and Israel, is being constantly referenced as the most evil, or as the most sinful, of all the kings of Judah and Israel. I for one believe we may have reason for believing that Jeroboam is being thus referenced because of his changing God’s calendar and because of the unavoidable disorientation relative to God’s timing that must follow as a consequence thereof.

Additional blessings inherent in Daniel 7:25?

As Seventh-day Adventists we have learned to put much emphasis upon a very similar series of events of prophecy recorded in Daniel 7:25, have we not? Perhaps there is more significance to this passage than what we have previously recognized? Is there a connection between king Jeroboam and papal calendar changes we have learned to recognize by means of Daniel’s prophecy? In essence, when we are consenting to follow another calendar than the one being taught in the Holy Scriptures from the beginning of time, it seems that we may in fact be following in the footsteps of king Jeroboam, son of Nebat, does it not?

I for one firmly believe that God has tremendous blessings in store for anyone who is willing to do his or her best in tuning into the frequency of our Creator, and more particularly by getting back into the reckoning of time as given us by our Creator. As Seventh-day Adventists we have been experiencing tremendous blessings by taking one step in the right direction by resting upon the Seventh Day and keeping it holy as per the Fourth Commandment. What additional blessings might some of us wish to realize for ourselves by taking some further steps in this same direction? Might there be a blessing in not being totally disoriented as to the time frame of our Creator?

7-7-7 or 6-6-6?

Today is the first of the two Sabbaths of special prayers during this OGR event. Next Sabbath is the 7-7-7 Sabbath as dated in the Roman Catholic Church Calendar of Pope Gregorian. More specifically, the next Sabbath is the 7th Day of the 7th Month in the 2007th Year after Caesar Tiberius per the Gregorian calendar. The name Tiberius comes from the river Tiber that flows through Rome and the meaning of the name Tiberius is closely related to the words holy and sanctified. It is well known that in the Roman Catholic Church the numbers 3, 6, and 9, as well as multiples of the same, are very celebrated numbers. Thus, for instance, the number 666 as found in the words VICARIUS FILII DEI in the papal tiara. Well, we are now living in the beginning of the 3rd millennium of this Roman Catholic calendar which has its true basis, not upon the birth of Yeshua the Messiah as generally believed, but upon Caesar Tiberius. Thus the 7-7-7 date is the very first such event in this third millennia of Roman time reckoning. No doubt this is a most significant date for the powers behind the Roman Catholic Church, or do I not have a valid basis for such a presumption?

How about the Sabbath today, “6-30-7″ or “June 30, 2007?”

Let’s consider today’s date from a slightly different angle: Today is the day that completes the Sixth month, isn’t it? In the new Roman Catholic reckoning of week days as generally used in Europe this Day is also the Sixth Day of the Week, is it not? (Additionally 30 = 5 x 6.) Accordingly, when today ends, the 1st full 6 years and 6 months of the 3rd millennium of the Roman Catholic calendar comes to its end at the end of the 6th Day of the Roman Catholic week.

Next Sabbath completes an important 666 date!

So what does that make the point in time at the end of the next Sabbath – and the subsequent Sunday? That point in time completes the first 6 full days, 6 full months, and 6 full years of the 3rd millenium, does it not? In a very real sense that Sunday may be considered in terms of the 1st completed 6-6-6 in this 3rd millennium, correct? I wonder whether this date might not be an even more significant date than is 7-7-7 for some key powers behind the Roman Catholic Church?

What are the corresponding Biblical dates?

So what are the biblical dates of these two Sabbaths? Well, simply put, this Sabbath is the 13th Day (full moon) of the 4th Moon of the biblical year. Next Sabbath is the 20th Day of the same 4th Moon. I am not aware of any particular biblical Feast day being associated with these Sabbaths.

How may this be important for us today?

If by this planetary get together, OGR, we can truly become anointed by the light shed upon us by the Holy Spirit, such that we allow Him to be in fact our Helper who is cleansing us from our sins (our missed points re e.g. God’s own time keeping,) then I believe this OGR event will truly become a powerful tool in the hand of our Creator for sanctifying His own Sons and Daughters.

Perhaps some of us will even be willing to cease suffering from the consequences and curses of participating in said sins of Jeroboam, son of Nebat, that have been upon us now for I believe 2960 years, more or less? It would be about time, would it not?

Perhaps this could be a time in preparation for an event similar to the one recorded regarding Elijah and the 400 prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18, or perhaps for an event similar to the one recorded regarding king Josiah in 2 Kings 23?

prayer request

I request for prayers for my application for a work visa to go through for New Zealand it’s been a month but i know that the Lord is still in control. Also for me and my wife with our 18 month son we are going through tough times but we know the Lord says he will never put us through things that we cannot over come. James 5 says “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”

Who will help me plead? Who will be our prayer warriors?

I belong to a small new church group in the Carolina conference, of only 14 baptized members, with over half as brand new SDA members, so we don’t have many prayer warriors yet. So who will help us prayer? Who will be our prayer warriors?

I have three important requests:

1. M, who I will leave as unnamed, was baptized January 2007. His present girlfriend and children have learned of the Everlasting Gospel and have now joined and been baptized also. However, the mothers of M’s two sons both now live in the area. Need I say more! Please pray that “all things will work together for good to those that love the Lord and are the called according to His purpose.”

2. Sherman has not heard the Everlasting Gospel yet! My sharing the Everlasting Gospel and also his marriage are being threatened. Please pray for the Lord to” lift up a standard against the enemy, when He comes in like a flood against Sherman!”

3. I desire to be thoroughly sanctified. For it is written, “And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. John 17:19.”

Who will help me plead? Who will be our prayer warriors?

“Solia îngerului al treilea se dezvoltă într-o mare strigare şi nu trebuie să vă simţiţi liberi de a neglija datoria voastră prezentă, gândindu-vă că la un anumit timp în viitor veţi primi o mare binecuvântare, şi fără vreun efort din partea voastră, va avea loc o minunată redeşteptare… Astăzi fiecare dintre voi trebuie să aibă vasul curăţit, pregătit astfel să primească roua cerească, gata pentru aversele Ploii Târzii; pentru că Ploaia Târzie va veni, şi binecuvântarea lui Dumnezeu va umple pe fiecare suflet ce a fost purificat de orice întinare. Este lucrarea noastră astăzi să ne predăm sufletele lui Hristos ca să fim pregătiţi pentru timpul de reînviorarea de la prezenţa Domnului – pregătiţi pentru botezul Spiritului Sfânt.” - Evangelism 701

2. Mai adânc, mai aproape, mai înalt - (Tematici pentru cele 10 zile) -

Evrei 10:18-23– „Dar acolo unde este iertare de păcate, nu mai este nevoie de jertfă pentru păcat. Astfel dar, fraţilor, fiindcă prin sângele lui Isus avem o intrare slobodă în Locul prea sfânt, pe calea cea nouă şi vie, pe care ne-a deschis-o El, prin perdeaua dinlăuntru, adică trupul Său: - şi fiindcă avem un Mare Preot pus peste casa lui Dumnezeu, să ne apropiem cu o inimă curată, cu credinţă deplină, cu inimile stropite şi curăţite de un cuget rău, şi cu trupul spălat cu o apă curată. Să ţinem fără şovăire la mărturisirea nădejdii noastre, căci credincios este Cel ce a făcut făgăduinţa.”

„Lucrătorii lui Dumnezeu trebuie să obţină o experienţă mult mai adâncă. Dacă ei se vor preda cu totul Lui atunci El va lucra pentru ei cu puterea Sa divină. Ei vor fixa drapelul adevărului pe fortăreţele deţinute până atunci de Satana, şi cu strigăte de biruinţă ei le vor lua în stăpânire.
Ei poartă cicatricele luptei, dar acolo ajunge la ei solia mângâietoare că Domnul le va arăta drumul pentru a continua să cucerească.” CM 155

„Când servii lui Dumnezeu cu zel consacrat vor coopera cu mijloacele divine, starea de lucruri care există în această lume va fi schimbată, şi curând pământul va primi cu bucurie pe Împăratul său. Atunci ‚cei înţelepţi vor străluci ca strălucirea cerului, şi cei ce vor învăţa pe mulţi să umble în neprihănire vor străluci ca stelele.’” – RH, Sept. 17, 1903 (CM 155)

Ps. 42:1-2 – „Cum doreşte un cerb izvoarele de apă, aşa Te doreşte sufletul meu pe Tine, Dumnezeule! Sufletul meu însetează după Dumnezeu, după Dumnezeul cel viu; când mă voi duce şi mă voi arăta înaintea lui Dumnezeu?”

„Aceia care beau din aceeaşi fântână a binecuvântării vor fi atraşi unul către altul şi în felul acesta ei vor strânge rîndurile. Adevărul care rămâne în inimile credincioşilor va conduce la o binecuvântată şi fericită asimilare. În felul acesta rugăciunea lui Hristos ca ucenicii să fie una, aşa cum El este una cu Tatăl, va primi răspuns. Pentru această unitate trebuie să lupte fiecare inimă cu adevărat convertită.” – FLB 343

„Ucenicii se rugau cu un zel nepotolit ca să fie făcuţi destoinici să-i întâmpine pe oameni şi ca, în convorbirile lor zilnice, să fie în stare să rostească cuvinte care să-i conducă pe păcatoşi la Hristos. Înlăturând orice neînţelegeri, orice dorinţă de întâietate, ei s-au adunat laolaltă, într-o strânsă comuniune creştină. Ei se apropiau mai mult şi tot mai mult de Dumnezeu şi, făcând acest lucru, au înţeles ce privilegiu avuseseră de a li se îngădui să aibă o atât de strânsă legătură cu Isus.” – AA 37

Luca 24:15.32 – „Pe când vorbeau ei şi se întrebau, Isus S-a apropiat şi mergea pe drum împreună cu ei… Şi ei au zis unul către altul: ‚Nu ne ardea inima în noi, când ne vorbea pe drum, şi ne deschidea Scripturile?’”

3. Iertarea - (Tematici pentru cele 10 zile) -

Mat 6:14-15 – Dacă iertaţi oamenilor greşelile lor, şi Tatăl vostru cel ceresc vă va ierta greşelile voastre. Dar dacă nu iertaţi oamenilor greşelile lor, nici Tatăl vostru nu vă va ierta greşelile voastre.

Ioan 13:35 – Prin aceasta vor cunoaşte toţi că sunteţi ucenicii Mei, dacă veţi avea dragoste unii pentru alţii.

Iubiţi-vă unii pe alţii.
Egoismul şi mândria împiedică iubirea curată care ne uneşte în spirit cu Isus Hristos. Dacă această iubire este cultivată cu adevărat, mărginitul se va combina cu mărginitul şi toţi se vor centra în Nemărginit. Omenescul se va uni cu omenescul şi astfel se vor lega cu toţii de Iubirea Nemărginită. Dragostea sfinţită a unuia pentru celălat este sacră. În această mare lucrare creştină, iubirea dintre unii şi alţii – mult mai înaltă, mai constantă, mai manierată, mai neegoistă, decât a fost văzută în trecut – întreţine delicateţea creştină, binefacerea şi amabilitatea creştină, şi înveleşte frăţia umană cu îmbrăţişarea lui Dumnezeu, recunoscând demnitatea cu care Dumnezeu a înzestrat drepturile omului. Creştinii trebuie să dezvolte mereu această demnitate spre onoarea şi slava lui Dumnezeu. - 5BC 1140.6
Unicul Fiu al lui Dumnezeu a recunoscut nobleţea fiinţei umane prin faptul că a luat asupra lui natura omenească şi a murit în folosul neamului omenesc, mărturisind de-alungul secolelor că “atât de mult a iubit Dumnezeu lumea, că a dat pe singurul Său Fiu, pentru ca oricine crede în El, să nu piară ci să aibă viaţa veşnică.” - Letter 10, 1897 {5BC 1141.1}

Cea mai mare amăgire.

– Adevărata sfinţire îi uneşte pe credincioşi cu Hristos şi pe unii cu alţii în relaţii de simpatie grijulie. Această unire face să curgă continuu în inimă torente bogate de iubire asemănătoare cu aceea a lui Hristos, care se manifestă apoi în dragostea dintre unii şi alţii. Calităţile pe care este esenţial să le posede toţi, sunt acelea marcate de către plinătatea carcaterului lui Hristos – dragostea Sa, răbdarea Sa, altruismul şi bunătatea Lui.

Este cea mai mare şi o fatală amăgire să crezi că un om poate avea credinţă ca să moştenească viaţa veşnică, fără să posede în acelaş timp şi o iubire pentru fraţii săi, asemănătoare cu aceea a lui Hristos. Cel care iubeşte pe Dumnezeu şi pe aproapele său este umplut cu lumină şi dragoste. Dumnezeu este în el şi peste tot în jurul lui. Creştinii îi iubesc pe cei din jurul lor ca fiind suflete preţionase pentru care a murit Hristos. Nu există un adevărat creştin fără iubire; pentru că “Dumnezeu este iubire”, “şi prin aceasta ştim că Îl cunoaştem, dacă păzim poruncile Lui. Cine zice: Îl cunosc şi nu păzeşte poruncile Lui, este un mincinos, şi adevărul nu este în el. 1 Ioan 2:3.4 - 5BC 1141
Apostolul Petru a venit la Domnul Hristos cu întrebarea: “Doamne, de câte ori să iert pe fratele meu, când va păcătui împotriva mea? Până la şapte ori?” Rabinii limitau acordarea iertării până la trei ori. Apostolul Petru, îndeplinind - după părerea lui - învăţătura Domnului Hristos, a gândit să extindă acordarea iertării până la “şapte ori” numărul desăvârşirii. Dar Domnul Hristos ne-a învăţat că nu trebuie să obosim iertând. “Eu nu-ţi zic până la şapte ori, ci până la şaptezeci de ori câte şapte.” - COL 243
Iată motivul în baza căruia noi ar trebui să exercităm milă faţă de cei păcătoşi ca şi noi. “Dacă astfel ne-a iubit Dumnezeu pe noi, trebuie să ne iubim şi noi unii pe alţii.” 1 Ioan 4,11. “Fără plată aţi primit, fără plată să daţi.” Matei 10,8. - COL 245
În parabolă, când datornicul s-a rugat să fie păsuit, cu promisiunea: “Mai îngăduieşte-mă, şi-ţi voi plăti”, sentinţa a fost revocată, întreaga datorie a fost iertată şi imediat, i s-a oferit ocazia ca să urmeze şi el exemplul stăpânului său care l-a iertat. Ieşind de la împărat, el a întâlnit pe un tovarăş al său de slujbă, care îi datora o mică sumă de bani. Lui i se iertase o datorie de zece mii de talanţi; datornicul său îi datora numai o sută de lei. Dar el, care a fost tratat cu atâta milă, s-a comportat cu tovarăşul său de lucru într-un mod cu totul diferit. Datornicul său a făcut un apel identic cu acela pe care el personal l-a adresat împăratului, dar fără un rezultat asemănător. El, care fusese de curând iertat, n-a avut o inimă plină de milă şi iertare. Mila ce i-a fost acordată el n-a dat-o pe faţă în comportamentul său cu tovarăşul lui de lucru. El n-a răspuns rugăminţii ce i-a fost adresată de a fi îndurător. Mica sumă de bani ce-i era datorată, era tot ceea ce avea în minte acest slujitor nerecunoscător. El pretindea tot ceea ce gândea el că i se cuvine, şi a adus la îndeplinire o sentinţă asemănătoare aceleia care, în mod aşa de binevoitor, fusese anulată în dreptul său. - COL 245
Cât de mulţi, astăzi, dau pe faţă un spirit asemănător. Când datornicul a cerut stăpânului său milă, el n-avea simţământul real al enormei lui datorii. El nu a înţeles starea lui disperată. El spera să găsească singur o cale de scăpare. “Mai îngăduieşte-mă, şi-ţi voi plăti”, spunea el. Tot astfel, sunt foarte mulţi aceia care nădăjduiesc ca prin propriile lor fapte să capete favoarea lui Dumnezeu. Ei nu-şi dau seama de starea lor deznădăjduită.
Ei nu acceptă harul lui Dumnezeu, ca un dar, fără de plată, ci încearcă să clădească pe îndreptăţirea de sine. Inimile lor nu se zdrobesc şi nici nu se umilesc din cauza păcatului, iar faţă de alţii sunt severi şi neiertători. Comparate cu păcatele fraţilor lor săvârşite faţă de ei, propriile lor păcate împotriva lui Dumnezeu, sunt ca zece mii de talanţi, faţă de o sută de lei - aproximativ unu, faţă de un milion; şi totuşi, ei îndrăznesc să fie neiertători…
Cel care refuză să ierte leapădă propria sa nădejde de a fi iertat. – COL 245-246
Ioan 20:21-23 – Isus le-a zis din nou: “Pace vouă! Cum M-a trimis pe Mine Tatăl, aşa vă trimit şi Eu pe voi.” După aceste vorbe, a suflat peste ei, şi le-a zis: “Luaţi Duh Sfânt!” Celor ce le veţi ierta păcatele, vor fi iertate; şi celor ce le veţi ţinea, vor fi ţinute.

Aici noi observăm că Spiritul lui Dumnezeu era deja dat când Hristos le-a reamintit despre iertare. De aceea singura cale prin care un om poate ierta aşa cum a iertat Isus este să posede umplerea cu Spiritul Sfânt! De ce nu renunţăm la amărăciune şi supărare? De ce să nu permitem chiar astăzi Spiritului Sfânt al lui Dumnezeu să intre în viaţa noastră şi să ne Elibereze de incapacitatea de a ierta pe cei care ne-au jignit sau ne-au nedreptăţit.
