Bethesda

I had nobody. Then Jesus passed me by. He touched me, pulled me up, put me on my feet and taught me how to walk.

I was nobody. Then Jesus showed me His pierced hands. He told me that I am a child of His Father.

I am becoming somebody. When I understand that God loves me as I am. And that He himself will change the wrong in me to His glory.

I am somebody. When I listen to His soft voice that beckons me and admonishes me. And then He makes me a useful instrument in His hands.

Now I can be somebody for someone, who has nobody. Because Jesus gave me a name, an identity: His brother, His sister and fellow heir of the Kingdom of the universe.

I am a child of the Lord!
