“Perfect timing” for that event beginning “May 18?”

Yes,it is a perfect timing! But what is perfect about it? It is the fact that it coincides with that biblical time when the disciples of Yeshua “all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication,” isn’t it? (Cf. Acts 1:14.)

“What 40 day period?”

But how about the “forty days?” What relevant forty day periods can we find in the Scriptures, and what may we learn from such findings? What will I learn? How about you? What is the “still small voice” spoken by our Creator unto each of us? (Cf. 1 Kings 19:12.)

Today’s Sabbath School study pointed me to Noah and the forty days of rain which began “in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month” (Gen. 7:11.)

Per the biblical calendar, today is the 22nd day of the 2nd month. Accordingly, the 17th was five days ago on Sabbath “May 5, 2007,” which day [beginning at sunset May 4th] was also the 4th of the seven Sabbaths in the counting of days towards Pentecost. The end point of the 40th day counting from that last point in time would then fall out at sunset on the day commonly knows as “Wednesday June 13, 2007.” The mid point of said 40 days would end up being the sunset at the beginning of the Preparation Day preceding the Pentecost Sabbath.

Well, all that is just an attempt of mine of trying to get oriented in God’s calendar as it pertains to my own here and now…

How does this apply in my life today?
On what side of the closed door do I find myself?

So, looking back, what if anything happened in my life at the beginning of those particular 40 days? Actually, I have a vague recollection that a friend of mine tried to point out something in re to that 17th Day of the 2nd Moon in the Year of the Flood. Well, I just find that a little interesting… [My friend just confirmed that my recollection was correct.]

Of course, if by that time I was safely inside the Ark I’d have no reason to worry, would I? On, the other hand, what if I was still on the outside of the ark on that particular date relative to the Flood? Not much I could have done about it, was there?

It is important to make our choices in time and not too late, isn’t it?!

Actually, the same friend of mine sent me an email re the Ark being “a type of Christ” a couple of weeks earlier on the 2nd Sabbath of the seven towards Pentecost [April 21.] So I did get “a still small voice” in a timely manner to make my choice, didn’t I?

Then again there are different 40 day periods, and they do not always correspond one with another, do they? Consider for instance that time period when Yeshua was “being seen of them forty days” per Acts 1:3.

What forks in the road before me do I yet perceive?

So, considering that the beginning of both of the above said 40 day periods are already in the past leaving us at which ever side of the closed door we happen to be, may I suggest that each of us carefully consider for ourselves what might be necessary to do, or not to do, in order to be on the safe side of “the door” at the point of time of the 40 days announced beginning at the beginning of the 6th Sabbath in the count towards the Pentecost Sabbath?

The count down is proceeding fast:

Today is Day 37 in the count of Omer towards that 7th Sabbath which is the Day of Pentecost. Yesterday was the 5th Sabbath of the seven Sabbaths.

As I have noted above next Sabbath [beginning at sunset May 18] is a perfectly timed event per the biblical calendar. The same 6th Sabbath is also the beginning of one very important 40 day period which is central to the existence of Operation Global Rain and this web site.

It occurred to me this morning while still in bed that the seven days beginning at the beginning of yesterday’s Sabbath (sunset Friday May 11) parallels the seven days prior to the forty days of rain at the beginning of the Flood (cf. Gen. 7:4, 16.)

We often hear from the pulpit that God shut the door of the Ark at the beginning of those seven days, but a careful reading of Gen. 7:1-4, 11, 13, seems to indicate that the entering into the ark was not completed until the very day when the 40 days of rain began.

What happened at the beginning of the seven days preceding the Flood was that God spoke to Noah in a manner very reminiscent of the words of the Fourth Angel in Rev. 18:4-5, or don’t you see?

“Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” (Cf. Gen. 6:5-7; 11:4-8.)

Is it now time to submit to Babylon or is it time now to return to Jerusalem - to the Kingdom of God?

The text I was shown this morning was Jeremiah 29. That chapter includes a transcript of a letter that Jeremiah wrote to the first captives brought to Babylon, which also defines the beginning of the seventy years of captivity. (Cf. Jer. 25:11, 12; 29:10 and Jer. 25:1-3; 29:1-2.)

During those seventy years God’s prophets were very adamantly proclaiming to the people that they were to submit to the rule of Babylon. At the end of those seventy years God’s people were called out of Babylon. From that point in time onwards God’s people were no longer to remain in Babylon, they were called back to Jerusalem, were they not? (Cf. Ezra 1:1-4; Neh. 2:6-8.)

The example of King David:
1 Chronicles 21 is a record of a most significant event in the life of King David. It is a record of a numbering of the people. This initiative of David was not in accord with God’s will. God’s people were not to be numbered or otherwise treated as property of the kingship. The consequences were quite severe, or don’t you agree?

The Second Commandment:
I perceive that the above referenced items are a direct application in consequence of the wording found in the Second Commandment: That is “the seventy years” correspond to “the third and fourth generation,” or 3.5 x 20 years = 70 years, do you see? And “the numbering of the people” corresponds to a man submitting himself as a numbered beast within a domain of, and created by, men, i.e. “internal” to a State or to e.g. a “Revenue Service.”

And what about the fifth generation? Will the fifth generation no longer suffer the pain of the punishment? Or, Will a fifth generation not even exist?

A present application in the US:
Now, the beginning of the current numbering of the American People by the Social Security Administration was 1933 or 1935. Adding 70 years to that beginning brings us to 2003 or 2005, does it not? Could this have a relationship to this? (It may be of some interest here that 1. the rules for the SSA issues out of the Queen of England, and that 2. the British Kingdom supposedly claims to be established upon the throne of king David.)

Based upon the above parallel the present time is not a time for God’s people to escape into Babylon, is it? On the contrary, this is a time when God’s People are being called out of Babylon and back to God’s Kingdom, “to Jerusalem,” do you see?

The Rwandan example and warning:
For me another recent event is most applicable: In 1934 Rwanda received a grant from Belgium for the purpose of creating an identification system. Seventy (70) years later, May 1994, an event known as the genocide of the Rwandan people occurred. Coincidence? Or, the finger of God in accord with the Second Commandment? Or, a “natural” and predictable consequence of the identification system that made it possible to identify each one as belonging to one tribe or to the other and such that one tribe could identify and slaughter the other?

The USSR example and warning:
“In March 1919, Lenin and other Bolshevik leaders met with revolutionary socialists from around the world and formed the Communist International.” Seventy (70) years later, on 9/11/89 [European convention for dating November 9, 1989] the Iron curtain was suddenly and surprisingly removed. Coincidence? Or, predictable based upon natural principles established from the beginning of time?

The strong voice of the Fourth Angel:
Accordingly, I keep hearing as it were “another angel… from heaven, having great power: and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice… Come out of her, my people!”

Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Or, are we not to apply the Three Angels Messages outside of our “spiritual” lives? Does the “Spirit of Prophecy” have anything to say about spiritualizing things? Does it make sense? It does, doesn’t it?

Or can we safely disregard the many serious advance warnings given us through the writings of Ellen Gould White?

Did EGW give us advance warning of the 9/11 event in Volume 9 page 11 of Testimonies, or did she not? Did we care enough to read her red books, or do we remain safely ignorant?

“The Last Crisis

“We are living in the time of the end. The fast-fulfilling signs of the times declare that the coming of Christ is near at hand. The days in which we live are solemn and important. The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth. Plagues and judgments are already falling upon the despisers of the grace of God. The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude. {9T 11.1}

“On one occasion, when in New York City, I was in the night season called upon to behold buildings rising story after story toward heaven. These buildings were warranted to be fireproof, and they were erected to glorify the owners and builders. Higher and still higher these buildings rose, and in them the most costly material was used. Those to whom these buildings belonged were not asking themselves: “How can we best glorify God?” The Lord was not in their thoughts. {9T 12.1}

“The scene that next passed before me was an alarm of fire. Men looked at the lofty and supposedly fire-proof buildings and said: “They are perfectly safe.” But these buildings were consumed as if made of pitch. The fire engines could do nothing to stay the destruction. The firemen were unable to operate the engines. {9T 13.1}”
