Pray For Pastors

Posted by: shell28 | Tue, May 1, 2007 1:39 pm | Tag(s): Prayer Requests | Permalink |

There may be many pastors out there that are not supporting this mission for many reasons. We need to pray for them as it makes it difficult to go ahead and bring the whole church together. We are experiencing that in our own church right now and are praying that the Holy Spirit will reach the hearts of those that can’t see this working. Let us all let the Spirit lead and give the devil no ground to which he may stand before God’s people.

Amen!

Yet, who are the real pastors and shepherds of God’s sheep?

Are they the ones that both teach and do God’s will, or are they those who are merely appointed a title by me or you, i.e. by men?

Who is my guide and shepherd? Is it God himself, or is it yet another one among men, yet another VICARIUS FILII DEI?

Who do I recognize as being in effect my god, my one and only authority?

How do I identify myself when asked by someone for an ID? Do I show such ones an ID that serves in effect as proof that I am volunteering into a position of subservience under their authority? Or have I learnt how to maintain my integrity under no one but “him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters?” (Cf. Rev. 14:7.)

Has God granted unto me the power to choose one authority or another? Or am I stuck by the way I’m used to think? By the way “everybody else” is thinking? Who, really?, are controlling my thoughts?

Is God’s power for real in my own life, or is it not?

What is Paul teaching me per 2 Timothy 3:5?

“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

All these questions and more shall God’s people ask as they step away from themselves and join ranks with God through Jesus Christ and His Spirit. We should all be preparing our hearts for the Latter rain to fall.
We all want to go home but only those who submit themselves to the one and true God will see His glory and live forever. Oh that day to come. Let us look high above to a kingdom more worthy of praise then the world and man can ever offer.
